Mansfield University has many connections to organizations beyond our campus.

Associations

Middle States Commission on Higher Education

Mansfield Univeristy is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia PA 19104. (267-284-5000). The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)

The programs of preparation for teacher education at Mansfield University are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), www.ncate.org. This acreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs and advanced educator preparation programs.

Council on Social Work Education

The Bachelor of Social Work Program is accredited by the national Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), http://www.cswe.org. This accreditation, which the program has held continuously since 1983, insures high quality and competent social work preparation for practice. It also allows program graduates an opportunity to apply for advanced standing status in Master’s in Social Work programs.

Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education

The Mansfield University Nutrition and Dietetics program is currently approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the American Dietetic Association, 216 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60606-6995, 312/899-5400. This program allows graduates to apply for an American Dietetic Association supervised program, which leads to eligibility to write the registration examination for dietitians.

National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)

The Mansfield University nursing program is currently accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), 61 Broadway – 33rd floor, New York City, NY 10006 (800-669-1656).  Successful accreditation indicates that the program has been found to meet or exceed standards and criteria for educational quality.

Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)

The Mansfield University Radiology Technology Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), 20 N. Wacker Drive, Suite 2858, Chicago, Illinois 60606-3182.  The JRCERT was established in 1969 and offers voluntary accreditation for diagnostic radiography, radiation therapy, medical dosietry and MRI programs.

Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)

The Respiratory Therapy Program of Mansfield University is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

American Chemical Society (ACS) – Committee on Professional Training (CPT)

The CPT, after a careful evaluation of the chemistry degree program at Mansfield University, has determined that the department offers a quality degree program to prepare baccalaureate students for professional careers as chemical scientists, thereby adding MU to the list of schools that offer an ACS approved degree program.  ACS awards certificates to the graduates of the approved degree program.

National Association of Schools of Music (NASM)

The Music Programs are accredited by The National Association of Schools of Music. It is the national accrediting agency for music and music-related disciplines. It establishes national standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees and other credentials.

State System of Higher Education (PASSHE)

Mansfield University is one of 14 state universities that comprise the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (SSHE). Through various collaborations with our sister institutions, we attempt to provide accessible and affordable postsecondary education throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU)

Mansfield University is a member of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU). AASCU’s 430 members  are student-centered public universities that provide access to affordable higher education and serve as critical economic development engines and cultural centers in the regions where they are located.

Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U)

Mansfield University is a member of the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). AAC&U is a national organization founded in 1915, concerned with the quality, vitality, and public standing of undergraduate liberal education.
