Ewing, Mark (Class of 2009)
Watching Mansfield change from Freshman year to the time I graduated (2004-2009). During this time, buildings came down and new ones went up. We changed President’s and developed a new brand for the University. It was, and continues to be, exciting to come back every fall and see all the new features to the campus. It is easy to see the changes on campus and relate them to the changes which Mansfield made in my life.
Janeski, Christine (Class of 1978)
I have many memories of the friendships that I made at Mansfield University, the education I received that I in turn use to help others, and the professors that were helpful to me and the other students. Thank you Miss Keller, Dr. Gaydos, June Rudy, Dr. Sandra Linck, Dr. Lilla Halchin, Dr. Janice Kennedy (even though I never had her for class) and of course Dr. Mary Brace, who’s advice I continue to follow as an adult.
Johnston, Judith (Class of 1976)
Duke and Dingo-who remembers them?
Ormsby, Bob (Class of 1984)
I struggled something fierce with achieving my last three credits of Spanish at 34 years of age. An ACT 101 teacher, counselor and dear friend, Celeste Sexauer, made herself available for help and went as far as auditing the class with me, thus knowing exactly what (and how) lessons were presented and the homework required. Her help assured my graduation in May of 1984 - thank you Celeste. Twenty-five years later I am still indebted to so many at Mansfield: Toni Baylor, Dave Russell, Jim Glimm, the Hindmans, Blais', Uffelmans, and many more.
Wooten, Josh (Class of 2006)
One weekend Clarissa Correll and I made a road trip from Mansfield to Mankato, MN to watch the Mansfield Track and Field Team compete at the NCAA DII Championships. The DMR fought hard and finished one spot off from earning All-American Honors. The following day Chris Cummings ran one of the best races I've seen in my life (and I've seen hundreds of races). Coming from behind, Chris almost won, finishing 2nd in the closest mile finish in DII history. I still watch the race frequently, and it makes me want to go for a run every time. The trek out to Minnesota to watch those races will never escape my memory. Thank you, Chris!!
