Ms. Josephine Brace Wolfe ’36

Ms. Josephine Brace WolfeJosephine is a recognized national and international author and educator in the fields of Reading and Language Arts. She was the first person to receive the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching at Community College of Philadelphia where she has served as professor of English for 30 years. She was one of the first to receive the Alumni Citation Award from Mansfield University in 1969.

Josephine has served on the Mansfield University Foundation Board of Directors for eight years and the Alumni Board for five years. Her most recent honor is a proclamation presented to her by the Pennsylvania Senate for 65 years of dedicated service to education.

She is a Bradford Countian and claims Troy as “home.”
