The Elsie Burke Service Award recognizes outstanding service to Mansfield University. Donna Congdon Mokrzynski is part of a family tradition of Mansfield graduates. Her mother, Leone Pellor Congdon was a member of the Class of 1926 and her daughter Doreen a member of the Class of 1978.
Donna’s teaching career spanned 33 years and included the presentation of workshops on reading and learning disabilities, co-authoring articles and participation in professional organizations.
Donna served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors for six years, two as president. She also served on the Save North Hall Committee, chaired alumni weekend, assisted with the MU Phonathon and has supported the North Hall Campaign and scholarships.
