The Outstanding Young Alumni Award, established in 1986, is given for outstanding professional performance and achievements to those who have graduated in the last 20 years. Horn graduated from Mansfield in 1985 with a B.A. in general studies. He went on to the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL, where he earned a B.S. in Human Biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
After working for a year as an associate doctor in Chambersburg, PA, he opened Horn Family Chiropractic in Towanda, PA, in 1991. He later opened satellite offices in Athens and Wyalusing. Once these offices were established, Horn trained other doctors to take over those practices. In addition to operating his own practice, he works with students at chiropractic colleges and with associate chiropractors throughout the U.S., providing guidance on how to open their own offices.
He is a member of the International Chiropractic Association, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the Chiropractic Fellowship of Pennsylvania. He serves as team chiropractor for high school athletic programs in Bradford County, many times offering his services free of charge. While a student at Mansfield, Horn was as a peer counselor for the ACT 101 program and has recently served nine years on the program’s advisory board. He was instrumental in starting the YMCA of Bradford County and has served as chairman of its board of directors over the past seven years.
Horn resides in Towanda and is a past board member of the Towanda Country Club, serves on the advisory Board of First Citizens Bank in Towanda and coaches youth basketball.
