Public Performance by Award Winning Novelist

The Canadian Studies Program is pleased to announce a public reading by Nino Ricci from his award winning novels. The reading will be followed by a question and answer program with the author. This performance will take place today (Monday November 2) at 7:30 in Allen Auditorium. This appearance and program is supported by a grant from the Middle Atlantic and New England Council for Canadian Studies with additional support from the Canadian Studies programs at Mansfield University and Bridgewater State College About Nino Ricci: Nino Ricci was born in Leamington, Ontario, to parents from the Molise region of Italy, and completed university studies in Toronto, Montreal, and Florence, Italy. He now lives in Toronto, where he writes full time. He is a past president of the Canadian Centre of International PEN, a writers’ human rights organization that works for freedom of expression. He has won the Governor General's Award, The Books in Canada First Novel Award, The F.G. Bressani Prize, The Betty Trask Award, and the Winnifred Holtby Prize.
