The M.Ed. is chosen by those pursuing a master’s degree with an elementary emphasis, and the M.S.Ed. is chosen by those pursuing a master’s degree with a secondary emphasis. With either degree, students will be placed in a curricular track based on 1) whether or not certification in an area of education is already held, and 2) the area of specialization they are pursuing through the master’s degree.
