Mansfield University Literary Society

EnglishThe Mansfield University Literary Society is a student organization that is open to all students interested in literary and cultural endeavors within the university and community of Mansfield.

Our Mission Statement: It is the purpose of this organization to stimulate and foster an appreciation of language and literature and to encourage creative writing.  This organization, through its literary magazine and its other projects and activities, seeks to benefit Mansfield University’s community, both on and off campus, as well as its members.

Our biggest projects include participation in Banned Books Week in September and fundraising for the Family Literacy Night at Warren L. Miller Elementary school in Mansfield. We also publish Edge City, the student literary magazine, every academic year.

For more information or interest in membership, please contact Amanda Shumway, the MU Literary Society's vice-president, at shumwaam@mounties.mansfield.edu.
