ARTICLE I - FINANCE
- FISCAL YEAR: The fiscal year of the Mansfield University Panhellenic Association shall coincide with the School year.
- CONTRACTS: The signature of the President and Treasurer shall be required to bind the Mansfield University Panhellenic Association.
- CHECKS: All checks issued on behalf of the Mansfield University Panhellenic Association shall be signed by the Panhellenic Advisor and the Treasurer.
- PAYMENTS: All payments due to the Mansfield University Panhellenic Council shall be made to the Treasurer, who shall record them. Checks for payments shall be made payable to CCSI.
- MEMBERSHIP DUES:
- Amount: The dues for each Panhellenic Association member organization shall be $7 per active member per organization.
- New Member Dues: The amount of New Member dues shall be determined by Panhellenic Council at the first meeting of each semester.
- Time of Payment: All dues of each Panhellenic Association member organization shall be paid within two weeks notification of amount due.
- Fundraising: At no time should money obtained during a fundraiser be put to personal use (i.e. membership dues). This stands in direct opposition to the Panhellenic Manual of Information (Green Book) as well as jeopardizing the standing of member organizations as non-profit organizations.
ARTICLE II - SELECTION OF OFFICERS
- Offices will be held by NPC members, through election-rotation.
- The group holding President shall never double in any other office.
- The Executive offices are based on a rotation set forth by the Green Book (National Panhellenic Council Manual of Information)
- That rotation is based on when the chapter was installed at Mansfield University starting with the oldest.
- This rotation will go as follows: Alpha Sigma Tau, Delta Zeta, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Zeta Tau Alpha.
- The rotation for offices will go as follows: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
- Elected-rotated officers must hold position for the term of one full year.
- In order to be elected President, a member must have been an active participant of the Panhellenic Council for one full year.
ARTICLE III - RECRUITMENT POLICIES
- ALL NPC UNANIMOUS AGREEMENTS SHALL BE UPHELD.
- Spring semester on the M.U. campus shall be designated as the time for informal deferred Recruitment, beginning Spring 2005.
- Fall semester on the M.U. campus shall be designated as the time for Formal Recruitment, beginning Fall 2004.
- The Recruitment committee (Recruitment Counselors and Recruitment Chair), in conjunction with the Panhellenic Advisor, shall determine the length, times, dates, number of events, and rotation.
- A sorority may not give the potential new members assurance of a commitment to or bid acceptance from that sorority.
- A sorority woman may greet a potential new members during Recruitment, but must refrain from influencing her toward or against any sorority.
- A sorority woman may mention her sorority affiliation if asked, provided she is not a Recruitment Counselor.
- Men MAY NOT be present during Formal Recruitment Week functions; however, they are permitted to attend C.O.R. functions held on campus.
- Alcohol MAY NOT be served during Recruitment Week functions or during C.O.R. functions, regardless of their location or if they are informal or formal events.
- All Formal Recruitment events shall be held on the Mansfield University campus.
- All C.O.R. functions shall be held on campus, unless permission is given by the Panhellenic Advisor to do otherwise, after submission of a C.O.R. event-calendar.
- Individual sorority women MAY NOT spend money on Potential new members. This pertains to things that refer to the sorority, including flowers, candles, sorority mascots, etc.
- Favors MAY come from Panhellenic, but ONLY as a whole.
- No sorority (or sorority member) is permitted to mention C.O.R. events during Formal Recruitment.
- From the start of Recruitment until the acceptance of bids, no independents and Potential new members shall visit sorority lounges or individual residences, unless it is an R.A.
*Roommates are excluded when living with a sorority woman. - From the start of Recruitment until the acceptance of bids, no sorority shall accept an invitation to a mixer with a fraternity recognized by I.F.C. or any other unrecognized organization.
- From the start of Recruitment until the acceptance of bids no sorority member, Associate, or alumnae may visit a Potential new members in her room or place of residence.
- Invitations for membership (bids) MAY ONLY be given to those Potential new members that attend the Panhellenic Recruitment Preference Party, unless the Panhellenic Advisor grants special permission.
- Quota-Range for Formal Recruitment will be set prior to Preference Party Invitation distribution in accordance with NPC guidelines and as agreed upon by the Panhellenic Council.
- Recruitment Counselors (consisting of the Panhellenic Executive Board members) will designate a budget for Recruitment. This will be used for:
- The Panhellenic Pamphlet, which will be the only pamphlet given to the potential new members.
- Refreshments for the Panhellenic Open House.
- The banner and advertisements.
- Recruitment Booklet, Nametag, Information booklet, Recruitment Schedule, and Policies.
- The Panhellenic Open House will consist of:
- Panhellenic Executive Board attendance
- Panhellenic Advisor's attendance
- Each sorority's President, Recruitment Chair, Membership, and New Member Educator
- A display table for each sorority including a display of items as chosen by that sorority
(i.e. composites, formal favors, badge, mascot, scrapbooks, apparel, etc.)
CONTINUOUS OPEN RECRUITMENT (C.O.R.) WEEK
- ALL N.P.C. UNANIMOUS AGREEMENTS SHALL BE UPHELD.
- Silence period shall begin following the last event and will end after bid acceptance.
- C.O.R. events may begin the Monday following the official recruitment week after 4:00pm.
- No sorority is permitted to hand out bid extensions (membership invites) before the Panhellenic Advisor's specified time. (To avoid conflict for individuals who may receive more than one NPC group invite.)
