The political science program provides a broad and balanced introduction to the study of government and politics in both the U.S. and abroad. The goal is to provide both breadth and depth of knowledge and proficiency in the concepts, theories, and ideas about politics.
This program takes an explicitly interdisciplinary approach to educate students about the study of politics. All students in these courses are encouraged to become articulate, active, and informed citizens. The knowledge and skills nurtured in this program are widely applicable to further study in graduate school or law school and for the pursuit of careers in business, law, public administration, politics, teaching, journalism, communications, and research.
