Mansfield University students have the opportunity to study in Canada at Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario. This Canadian university matches very well with Mansfield in the programs offered, locale, environment, and student population. Students will pay Mansfield tuition and can arrange for either a transfer of room and board fees or arrange their own housing with the help of the Canadian Studies Resource Center at Mansfield University and Mansfield’s Study Abroad Office. The language of instruction is English, and students will be able to choose from a wide variety of courses. Courses will be chosen in consultation with the student’s advisor, the Canadian Studies coordinator, and the host institution. Nipissing University is recommended for students interested in environmental studies, social welfare, community economic development, criminal justice, psychology, history, geography, women’s studies, native studies (including native education), education and nursing. Students who are interested in studying abroad in Canada should have a minimum of a 2.8 GPA. Completed applications require two letters of recommendation and the approval of their academic advisor. |
