Three work groups have been developed that target the improvement of basic skills and helping students meet state and national standards. Other focus areas include workforce investment programs, pre-service/ in-service teacher education, learning with technology, improving information literacy, and new initiatives.
Workforce Development - The mission of the K-16 Workforce Development Group is to facilitate communication between local employers and area students and educational staff.
Academic Standards - The goal of Academic Standards is to survey the schools and explore expansion of LiveText.
Educational Community Resource - Its goal is to develop, facilitate, and communicate educational opportunities in the Mansfield K-16 Council area through collaboration and alignment of efforts.
