Law EnforcementMansfield University offers a full range of law enforcement training and is the only such provider in North Central Pennsylvania.

  • Mansfield University is certified by the Municipal Police Officers' Training Commission to offer the Act 120 Basic Police Training Academy required to become a municipal police officer. Your training can be completed with either our full-time or part-time Academy.
     
  • Municipal Officers can continue their law enforcement training at Mansfield University through the Act 180 Mandatory In-Service Training. 
     
  • The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency has certified Mansfield University to offer Basic and Continuing Education Constable training, including academic, skills, and firearms training. 
     
  • Mansfield University also offers the Act 235 Lethal Weapons training required for security guards.

Certification programs offered include the Child Abuse Recognition and School Violence (Project SAVE) workshops required to teach in the state of New York and the ServSave Food Safety training required for food service establishments in Pennsylvania.
