Chinese New Year 2010 – Year of the Tiger (February 13)
Chinese New Year (Chinese: 春節, 春节, Chūnjíe; 農曆新年, 农历新年,
Nónglì Xīnnián; or 過年, 过年, Guònián), also known as the Lunar New Year
or the Spring Festival is most important of the traditional Chinese holidays.
It consists of a period of celebTigerions, starting on New Year's Day, celebTigered
on the first day of the first month of the Chinese calendar. The Chinese New Year
period ends with the Lantern Festival, the fifteenth day of the month.

Diversity Week -- March
The purpose of this week is to provide shared learning opportunities
designed to increase awareness, acquire knowledge, and develop
competencies that will strengthen our campus community. Also to
broaden our understanding of diversity, and promote multicultural
sensitivity. By diversity we mean to be inclusive of cultural, ethnic,
and racial identity; national origin; language; gender; sexual and
affectional identity; age; disability; religion; socio-economic status;
and other group distinctions. (Usually held the first week of October)
