• Pennsylvania Canadian Studies Consortium-Research Award-Spring 2009.--This award enabled me to continue my sabbatical research on school-based health care, including collaborative work with faculty at Nipissing University (North Bay) and McGill University (Montreal).
• Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, Australia---Visiting Professor Fellowship ---Sept/Oct 2008--This award enabled me to study school-based health care in Australia collaboratively with nursing faculty at Charles Sturt University for two months. I was also able to study the Australian healthcare system and nursing education while in the country.
• 2008 Pennsylvania State System Diversity Grants, $12, 000 for the development of a summer leadership academy for minority youth, to foster confidence, academic skills, and career exploration, including nursing and teaching.. Renewed for the summer of 2009. These funds were matched by Elmira School District, NY each year.
• Improving Economic Self-Sufficiency for Women: Current Status, Future Goals and Intervention Strategies with BECS, Inc., Sayre, PA. (I worked as a consultant on this $50,000 evaluation project with a team of feminist evaluators from Jan. 2003 to Aug. 2003).
