Mansfield University is dedicated to providing a safe learning environment that promotes wellness, academic and personal growth, intellectual, ethical and aesthetic values. The university is responsible for providing a drug free campus community where the use of alcohol and other drugs does not interfere with the pursuit of knowledge and understanding by students, faculty and staff.
The possession, distribution, or use of alcohol and other drugs on the Mansfield University campus or at any university-sponsored activities is prohibited. Individuals violating this prohibition will face disciplinary sanctions, and/or arrest, and possible termination from the university. University disciplinary actions will include an educational component to encourage the individual's acceptance of the responsibility for his/her own choices and behavior.
Mansfield University will proactively educate, create an environment that promotes and reinforces a healthy living model, and provide information to students, faculty and staff for the expressed purpose of preventing the abuse of alcohol and other drugs. The University will also provide counseling and referrals for students and staff with alcohol or other drug problems.
