Personal Statement:

• I joined the faculty in the Fall of 1989. I came from Southern California, where I had been teaching part-time and completing a full-time post-doctoral position at an outpatient center treating sex offenders. I received my Ph.D. from Louisiana State University in 1988. I majored in Adult Clinical Psychology and minored in Behavior Neurology. 

• I have taught courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level where I specialize in assessment, counseling, personality, clinical neuropsychology, and psychology of women.  

• My academic interests include the profession of teaching, program assessment, gender issues, personality disorders, and clinical neuropsychology.  I have authored or co-authored articles appearing in The Journal of Family Violence, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, College Student Journal, and Pennsylvania Psychologist. • I have served the university in a number of ways including as advisor for the Psi Chi Honor Society chapter, director of the Center for Effective Teaching, and member of the President's Commission on the Status of Women. Currently I serve on several university and departmental committees and am the department WebSpinner. 

• I have served on the Tioga County Women's Coalition Board of Directors, and currently consult with a number of mental health organizations.  

• In my "spare" time, I enjoy crocheting, reading mysteries, going birding, and spending time with my family and Blue Merle Sheltie puppies, Blu & Beri.  Click Here to learn more about me.
