Community Service and Interactive Learning Opportunity

Dr. Robert Clark, is a professor of anthropology. In 2008 he and Professor Pam Richmond began a club centered on working with Partners in Progress in Mansfield. Partners in Progress addresses the needs of people with mental and physical challenges. The club had a very successful start and is looking forward to generating interest outside of the Social Work department. On a volunteer basis, students spend time with the clients in the day room and recreational areas, assisting staff and helping to guide activities. The social work students who worked during the 2009 spring semester absolutely loved it. The club has asked the Psychology Department to join them.
