Your advisor maintains a file for you. All students with an interest in psychology are encouraged to talk with our faculty at any time about career goals. Students are each assigned to a faculty member for scheduling and advisement. If for any reason you wish to change advisors, the department chair will make the change if the intended advisor is agreeable.
You are required to consult your advisor each semester for registration advisement, but more frequent appointments are encouraged. Each advisor maintains a checklist to ensure that you are planning carefully and meeting your obligations. Advisors can help you with career and graduate school planning as well as course selection. You must ultimately be responsible for meeting University and Department requirements.

Mansfield University is a community in the best sense of the word. We look out for each other. We push ourselves to dream big. We work hard to achieve success. We care. Mansfield welcomed its first student in 1857 – and to this day, the University continues to seek and serve students with big dreams for their futures.
