A second concentration in the Psychology Department is Human Resource Management. This course of study is designed to provide foundation skills necessary to fulfill newly emerging and traditional roles in personnel administration and human resource management. Preparation includes a background in traditional personnel administration skills, such as interviewing and hiring, evaluation of progress and potential, and increasing work efficiency. Additional, less traditional, preparation is directed toward fulfilling demands from business and industry for human resource managers who can perform various supportive roles for employees. For example, in recent years many organizations have implemented employee assistance programs which recognize the social and personal needs of employees. Catalog Description
