Women's Center
"A place where women and men can live in a climate of mutual respect, understanding, and equality, and where women are encouraged to reach their fullest potential."
About the Center. . .
Mansfield University's Women's Center for Living and Learning is located in 105 PINECREST HALL on the Mansfield Campus. The Center houses books, journals, videos and audiocassettes on a wide range of women's concerns. Dedicated student and staff volunteers keep the center open, check out center materials, and answer visitors' questions.
Campus organizations, such as the Women's Studies Steering Committee and the Mansfield University Advocacy Association, use the Center to hold meetings. Volunteers have held special events in the Center; past programs include discussions and workshops on stereotyping of women and men, breast cancer, and HIV/AIDS awareness. The Center's volunteers have also shown movies depicting women's issues and concerns followed by discussions with the audience.
