2009 Grad

Each year the graduating class at Mansfield University raises money for a Senior Class Gift. This years dollar goal was to raise $1600.

The 2009 Senior Class raised $1737 which exceeded their $1600 goal. Congratulations to the class on exceeding their goal and on their recent graduation! You will be missed, but thanks to your gift, will not be forgotten on the campus of MU.

Why should you give?

Giving to Mansfield University helps to establish a legacy for your class by changing the campus through your specific intentions. Additionally, the gifts given by alumni affect the way that Mansfield is ranked among other colleges in the state and nation. A report in U.S. News and World Report (August 2008) indicates that it uses alumni giving as part of its methodology. This philanthropic data on alumni giving accounts for 5% of the annual ranking. According to U.S. News and World Report, “this reflects the average percentage of living alumni with bachelor's degrees who gave to their school during 2005-06 and 2006-07, which is an indirect measure of student satisfaction.”

Seniors: How Can I Give?

One of the easiest ways to raise money for The Senior Class Gift is for seniors to submit a Graduate Dedication in the Commencement program. Visit the Commencement webpage, Graduate Dedication Form, attach your gift, and your contribution has been made! Let your family and friends know this is available so they can contribute to the fund and have a dedication wish printed in the Commencement Program for your special day! Keep an eye on the Daily Digest and The Flashlight to learn how you can be a part of this giving and where to go on the web site for additional information. Any gift over the amount of $10 not only gets the dedication in the commencement program, but also enters you into a drawing for a free grad ring from Jostens! Be sure to tell your family and friends, their contributions up your chance in winning!
