Certification

Post Baccalaureate Certification
and Obtaining certification when you are complete

To inquire about post baccalaureate certification:

1. please print and complete a Request for Certification Evaluation Form.
2. submit the Request for Certification Evaluation Form and official transcripts from all colleges/universities you have attended to the G-27 South Hall, Mansfield, PA 16933. If you are a Mansfield University alumnus we can obtain your transcript for you.
3. provide a resume if you have significant work experiences which may gain you credit for course work. 

Once all of your credentials arrive your file will be passed to Ms. Christina Hale, for an official workup.

Once the work up is complete, you will be sent a completed copy of the certification evaluation identifying required course work, an application for admission, a clearance packet, and a letter referring you to a department chairperson who may assist you in determining a tentative program completion date.

Certification Instructions for 4-year Mansfield University Students

If you have not already done so, you must go to 224 South Hall and:

1. Sign the Application For Professional Personnel Certificate
   forms PDE 338 C & PDE 338 G
2. Provide a $40.00 money order (no checks or cash accepted) payable to  Mansfield University to cover the certification application fee
3. Provide a copy of the PRAXIS I & II® test scores.  If you did not designate MU as a recipient of your Praxis scores on your Praxis application.

Certification Instructions for certification only candidates (not receiving a degree)

If you have not already done so, you must go to 224 South Hall and:

1. Sign the Application For Professional Personnel Certificate
   forms PDE 338 C & PDE 338 G
2. Provide a $40.00 money order (no cash or checks accepted) payable to Mansfield University to cover the certification application fee
3. Provide a copy of the PRAXIS I & II® test scores.  If you did not designate MU as a recipient of your Praxis scores on your Praxis application.
4. If you possess a Pennsylvania State Certificate, you must submit a copy with your application. 
5. Insure that the Academic Records Office has a copy of your certification evaluation.

Please Note: In order to receive Pennsylvania certification, all certification candidates must provide evidence of a negative TB Tine test and proof of clearances.
